Magazine Work.
I believe when a piece of work is altered to reflect another persons intention, it is renewed and therefore becomes their own. My work with magazines is directly influenced by the original artist. To make this art, I take what the original artist has made and I add my own personal touch - it as at this point that it becomes my work. I search for the pieces that influence me the most and then embody what the artist was trying to accomplish and transform it through the channels of my mind. I let this process be as natural as possible, which makes the work inspirational and original.

Angels Game!
I'm so glad that I can make it to an Angels game before the end of the season! It was great too! This year I made it to 3 stadiums! MN, SD, and now the Angels! It was a blow out though and the Angels lost 12-1! They scored their only run in the 1st inning and we missed it! I did get to see Torii Hunter bat twice and he did horrible! Oh well, I hope they do well in the playoffs! Unless the Twins make it!!

Oakley Newport Beach Pro!
My buddy Matt and I woke up at dawn this morning to go surf Trestles! It was a little disappointing this morning due to a few factors. But oh well! We had some lunch and went off to 56th in Newport to check out the Oakley Pro! These guys are awesome! They were just kickin out tricks left and right! What an amazing event to experience!

Oh yeah. Forgot.
Remember this car? The one that I wrote about in Value is Relative to Favor? Well I finally found out how much this car fetched on the auction block. It was projected to pull in about $3 million.... Yeah it ended up raking in $4.9 million.... HOLY SHIT!!! In the condition that this car was in is just amazing to think that this rusted piece of junk could fetch such a dollar.

What a crazy day!
It was a great day! I had today off so I took full advantage of this opportunity! I ran a few errands that I've been waiting to do for a few weeks and stopped by a studio I worked for and what a treat! They were shooting the first production car ever made of the Shelby Cobra series! Made in May of 1962 this car definitely ranks up there with the $10 million we had shot last april! This is such an amazing piece of machinery! Then I ran out to Newport for the Oakley Pro Surfing tournament! I caught a few heats in the early stages of the contest and enjoyed some rays out on the beach! I'm planning on going back out there on Sunday to see the finals! Depending on if I go out surfing myself, which should be happening! We'll have to see what all goes down! I also spent some time cleaning up the roof to get it in preparation for a rooftop party that I am in the middle of getting set up for the beginning of Nov! it's going to be so much fun!

It will be great to see how this catalog comes out after putting 4 weeks of my life into it! Here is just another day at the studio shooting models!

I own a surfboard!!!! Wahoo!
So I bought my buddies board today! Slick deal! We walked over to Trestles, the sweetest spot for surfing in So Cal. We ripped it up! I can't wait to surf there all the time! I live so close! After we hit up Cafe del Sol and the Riptide store. I bought some cleaner to take all the wax off and make it look brand new. All in all it was a great day off! Some new adventure, great food, and some relaxing at the end! Couldn't have been better! - - Now all my board needs is a Camera Dan sticker!!

Sunset on the 15th.
Today I was up in an Irvine Co. office building shooting the 15th floor. They are trying to promote their office space for lease and I tell you there are some pretty sweet views. We definitely got some great shots as well! Here is a sunset picture from the VP's office. I know this is just a snapshot, if I only had access to this on a clear day and had my Canon...

9-11
In respect for all those we lost during the tragedy's of 9-11 I want to just take a second and remember how nice it was to be stuck on Maui. It was that little trip to Hawaii that I discovered my passion for photography. It was this image that made me realize I had a talent I should develop. Now 8 years later I am living in California and am on the road to my dreams!

Nine Inch Nails in LA!!!
So I went and saw Nine Inch Nails last night up in LA. That was the best show I have ever seen. It had such amazing graphics and integration with the music it just blew my mind. I have seen a lot of shows in my time and NIN never seems to disappoint. It all happened so peculiar too. A couple friends were talking about going to the show and they had an extra ticket. I just happened to be the lucky fool that caught the roller coaster at the right time! I didn't even know they were in town. It was amazing how it all turned out!

It Was a Busy Day.
But this was the highlight of my day. This is a Cherry red, leather interior, 1964 Mustang Convertible. We went for a ride today. On top of going to one of the highest vistas in San Diego, which you will see the pics soon, and going out to Point Loma this was the best. As a matter of fact it was such a stimulating day that I am just too damn tired to do anything more. Why should I care, I can't do anything that would be cooler than what I've already done today....

Oh my God.
I don't understand why I am not just the fattest pig ever. Today I went over to my buddy Ben's who I haven't seen since I've been back out here and with a couple other friends we grilled up some bacon wrapped fillets and corn on the cob. It was definitely an amazing meal! My buddy Doc was out tonight as well. It's always good to see friends after a while!
