I Don't Even Know Where to Start...

How about I will B*tch slap this MF if I ever met him for being the dumbest, most mentally challenged, not smarter than a 5th grader dumba$$. Whew, I feel better. Just in case you just clued in. This car is probably worth more than your house and this guy seems to be so arrogant that he drives it in the salty, snowy, wintery roads of MN. The stupidity just baffles me. ARE YOU NEW??? Anyone who has lived here for one winter knows it will ruin your car. This is just a disgrace to that car. If I sold him that car I would punch him. (Really I'm not such an angry person, I think I need a glass of wine...)

Helping Haiti!

I feel better about helping an organization when I know what is going on and how it is going to help instead of giving large, almost corporate like, organizations just cold hard cash to spend however they see fit. Not that they don't help, don't get me wrong. I still donate blood to the Red Cross every time I'm eligible. Maybe its the personal satisfaction I get knowing that I've made a difference. But when you get a progress report like this... It definitely feels better than giving to a black hole.

A final look at some numbers from our 2010 Kids Against Hunger event:

• 1 grant from St. Paul Public Schools Service Learning Department

• 700+ students motivated to make the world a better place

• 70 flexible, supportive staff (including administrators, teachers, interns, office staff, custodians and cafeteria workers)

• 118+ parents and grandparents who helped with the food-packing events

• 24 enthusiastic Open School students, who helped with our hunger banquets, and organized and ran our packing event

• 15 "lead volunteers" (parents & staff) who worked all day Friday and/or spent hours beforehand translating documents, planning the schedule, counting funds, buying supplies, setting up the gym, organizing volunteers, planning the assembly, donating food for volunteers and more.

• 3 heartfelt student speeches at the assembly

• 1 surprise visit by the Leo el León, the energetic Adams mascot

• $8668 raised

• 59, 832 meals packed!

• 1 amazing community service project!

Well first I have to say obviously I didn't take this picture so I wasn't the one who blocked the flash! (Sorry Netty I had to!) I learned today that Annie had made a decision to move down to Dallas for work and she is leaving tomorrow! So a few friends gathered over at Netty and Aarons for a little fair-well soiree... I wish you the best of luck Annie in your endeavors! This is such an opportunity for you and I hope that you take advantage of it to the fullest. All of or thoughts and prayers are out to you! Can't wait to see you in March!

Superman is Lonely.

Since being a superhero is so lonely, I become dubbed Batman. Now Superman made me this logo. What a dork Superman is.

MN Wild!

We almost had this game! Hockey is such a better sport in person than on TV. You lose so much energy through the cables attached to the video cameras. Wow, I just had Deja-vu.... weird.

Baby's First Haircut!

They finally cut off his mullet that he was growing! Poor little guy doesn't grow much hair on the top. It will come Jackson, patience. As for the excitement today, I scored tickets to the Wild game tomorrow!

Superman...

The only person I know to break a bowling ball... I think its ironic that his nickname is already Superman.

-Update- Superman gets a new bowling ball from the manufacturer... I guess this kind of thing really doesn't happen often... lol

Cubicle Chronicles. Pt 1.

Guess which cube is mine... This crazy beacon of Birthday splendor directly leads you to your truly. Thankfully I didn't have a steady stream of Bday wishes flowing over the wall from the hallway here all day long.

Birthday Hero.

I couldn't have asked for a better Bday present! When I heard that the Vikes were to play Dallas I was stoked, then I realized it was on my Bday! So when my old roommate Josh, being the die hard Cowboys fan he is, proposed a little wager I was all for it! Glad that my boy came through for me and such a spanking to send those whiney bastards off to the locker room with! I was laughing all the way to the bank!

Last Day of My Twenties...

Lets roll with it. As I end this chapter in my life I am completely optimistic that life is only going to get better in my 30's. I am going to step it up a notch and really work to get some things accomplished in the next few years. My heart has been aching to get out a few things. Lets look forward to the new decade and Rock Out!

This is a New Year!

Lets look forward to the new beginning of so many things! A new day, year, decade! Its amazing that in one day we can change our outlook on life and think of it as a new beginning. Not that we couldn't do this on September 24th. It just makes more sense to do it when everyone else is doing it... C'mon people. Lets wake up to what is going on around us this year. There are so many distractions with daily life that we lose sight of what is truly important to us, what we love, and our passions. Life is short, yes. We know that. Tell us something we don't know. How about our reality is an illusion. Ever think you could survive in another country? How can people live so differently around this sphere we call Earth? I believe it is because our imagination and perception of what is real that makes our reality. This is a radical statement; and a hard one to grasp. Try and bend your imagination and your reality changes. I'm not talking about thinking you can fly or thinking that potpourri is something that can give eternal life. I am simply saying that a positive attitude and outlook can be all it takes to turn your life around. Do you think that your life sucks? Think that your got the short end of the stick? Try thinking that you are blessed and fortunate and tell me that you don't fell better. This, is what I am talking about. Try it. You can move mountains and change the world. Possibilities are endless.
